Born in Havana, Cuba, Pedro started dancing at the age of 8. In 1978 he joined his first dance group "Soy Cubano". He performed in various events and festivals in and around Cuba.

In 1979 he joined the National School of Arts in Havana and during his school years travelled to France, Spain, Bulgaria and Russia, performing for many Government events and sharing the stage with some of Cuba's elite dancers and musicians, namely Alicia Alonzo, Johanas Garcia, Chucho Valdez and others.

Upon graduating from the National School of Arts, he travelled to Russia, Kiev to join the Conservatory of Arts and studied choreography in contemporary dance. Studying in the Ukraine, he performed for the Ballet of Ukraine and also danced for the Institute of Contemporary Ballet. He also composed and choreographed for the Institute pieces of mixed Cuban dances such as Afro Cuban Jazz.

In 1992 he settled in Toronto, Canada and quickly became emerged in the circle of music and dance. He performed with various renowned artists such as Jane Bunnett. He also performed in many festivals throughout the city, as well, Montreal Jazz festival, Beaches Festival etc. Other than performing in these venues, he was also teaching to others his cultural Afro Cuban dance, he has worked closely with well known Toronto talents such as, Danny Grossman, Debbie Wilson, Ballet Creole, Coba Company and The Ballet of Canada. He has also organized retreats to Cuba fro his students to taste the flavour of Cuba and authenticity of the Cuban culture first hand financially supporting the development of dance and music programs in Cuba. He had the opportunity to teach the Teachers of the Board of Mississauga Salsa for Kids, this was a very successful program that he completed.

One of his greatest accomplishments was teaching for Rita Ridaz Dance Academy Studio, which included Latino American dance such as Mambo, Cha Cha, Mozambique and Cuban Style "Casino"
